Fireplace Mantels

This house had two floor to ceiling brick Fireplaces. In the master bedroom the fireplace seemed a bit ominous. I fastened 2x4’s flat as seen in photo, fastened and finished sheetrock, then installed Fireplace Mantle with paneled legs. Completed Crown Molding to join the rest of the room. The other fireplace in the living room was wrapped in paint grade maple with an inset panel for a favorite painting they had. The Fireplace Mantle was much the same but has fluted legs instead of paneled. It drastically changed the feel of both rooms.
